  1. One of the things you can do is strengthen your core muscles. By keeping your core muscles strong, you can help support your spine and keep your back healthy. There are several core exercises you can do in your home. Try to do a little bit every day.
  2. Make a commitment to eat better. Getting the right nutrients can help your bones stay healthy and strong. Also, when you have a better diet and keep excess weight off, it can help your spine. When you’re overweight, it puts more pressure on your back.
  3. If your job requires that you sit for long periods, make sure to take breaks. Set a timer for at least every hour. When the timer goes off, get up take a walk and/or do some stretches.
